Scripture: Genesis 1:1: “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth“
Well hello Precious, Precious People of God.
We are already in the third quarter of the year, ready to go into the fourth. We celebrated Labor Day and observed the entrance of the Fall Season. I just became excited because it is a new season for me. I have ventured deeper into the work Father has called me to do. I must be more about my Father’s Business. O bless His Name.
For those of you who attend Sunday School and use LifeStone Union Gospel Press material, Unit 1 for September-November is focused on God. Amazingly enough, I was led to speak about God’s character on my Facebook page. I called it BACK TO BASICS. We are inspired to return and review just who God is and in exploring who He is we will see who or what He is not. I encourage you to review, revisit, return to God as the source, the All-powerful source of life.
Just from the Scripture above we must determine that God was, is, and forever shall be the creator who was not created. He is inside and outside of time as well. I sit now looking outside of my window observing evidence of God. I see the sky (the immediate heaven), I see cars trucks, streets paved, trees, grass, buildings, and birds; I cannot see the air, but I know it is there. In my room I see creature comforts, television, telephone, ovens, refrigerators, electric lights, microwave ovens, so many conveniences for mankind. I know that the ocean is holding its place on the earth. O bless His name.
Sometimes it saddens me to observe we created men and women celebrate and lift up the created rather than the creator. Our Father readied the world for us, gave us sunlight as well as Son light. He gave us medicine in and out of His Word. He gave us food for our bodies as well as for our soul. He gave us rest time, music, peace and joy., grace and mercy even. He gave us angels to watch over and protect us until it is time to come back home to Him.
Read that first chapter of Genesis and let the Word bathe you in thoughts of how God prepared a place for us to enjoy His provision. Don’t worry too much about the devil because God does feed us in the presence of the enemy who is our enemy because he is God’s enemy. Get behind God and let God fight your battle.
Peace and Love,
Momma
