MY PROFILE

BOBBIE DICKING – Handmaiden of The Lord

I was born in the United States of America. I spent the first 10 years of my life in the state of Mississippi, the next 40 in the state of California, and for the past 20 years I have resided in the state of Texas. Noticeably, I have been cultivated in three culturally distinctively diverse environments. Oh bless His name.

I am married to a loving husband.  I have given birth to four children, one who has gone to glory, and three who live close by. I have eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and other sons and daughters who call me “mother”. Praise The Lord. I am blessed.

On July 11, 1984 following a life giving branding by God I entered full time into the Lord’s vineyard where I have worked faithfully to live out His purposed purpose for my life.

Upon graduating from high school, I worked seven years as an electronic assembler, and six years as a school community liaison. Then, feeling the pull of God’s intended purpose for my life, I returned to college where I had previously received an AA Degree in Behavioral Science and obtained a BA in Human Development. I went on to post graduate studies and obtained certification to teach in the United States.

I taught public school for twenty-two years; eleven years in California and eleven years in Texas. The honor of Teacher of the Year was awarded in both states. While teaching and preaching in California I was given the opportunity to go to Nigeria and minister at Bethesda Gospel Ministry with Biship Apena. What a wonderful experience. What a wonderful blessing. God knew.

I was called to pastor The Lily of The Valley Missionary Baptist church in Berkeley, California where I served faithfully for 11 years, from 1989 to 2000. While there The Lord used me to ordain nine ministers of the Gospel. He also led me to establish and serve as Administrator of The David William Christian Academy.

During this time, I received an honorary Doctorate from the National Baptist Women’s Ministers Association under the leadership of Dr. A. C. Jackson.  I also served as Dean of Education for this organization for 5 years.

I am a licensed ordained Minister of the Gospel and have served in various capacities in the body of Christ in both California and Texas. Among those are Choir Director, Sunday School Teacher, Bible Study Teacher, Prayer Ministry Leader, Private School Administrator, Christian Ministry Teacher. I have developed and produced Working Workshop-Seminars to increase effectiveness in ushering in The Kingdom Of God and showing forth His Glory.

I am a published author. I have written and produced Christian and elementary school plays. I have written and published songs and performed poetry. I have owned and operated a small authentic Soul food café and a Christian day care Nursery. Praise The Lord.

At present I am associate minister at Rhema Fellowship Church of Plano, Texas under the leadership of Pastor James T. Thomas where serves as the servant leader of the S.A.L.T. (Senior Adults Living Triumphantly) Ministry.

I am the founder and president of a group of women who are over seventy years of age; we call ourselves ANNA; and we serve in prayer for worldwide Kingdom building. I completed courses at the 220 School of Counseling and Training and from time to time take on the privilege of counseling and ministering to those individuals who the Lord sends my way. I am led to takes the opportunity to speak for Kingdom building wherever The Lord opens the door.

I am also a participating member of Caleb Dicking and Friends, a group of dedicated singers who lend their voices in praise to The Lord in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Caleb is my son and I sing in the tenor section.

I speak and pray for Jesus online every Sunday morning and throughout the week to share rivers of living water from the Word of God that continues to flow from my belly. The platform is called Momma Church Online. I love to read the Word of God and I am most happy to know that my name is written in The Lamb’s Book of Life.
