Beloved, we know that in the United States of America we, the people, celebrate Valentine’s Day. Red Roses, beautiful floral arrangements, chocolate candy, dinner dates at special restaurants; all serve to say, “I Love You” to the special people in our lives. Valentine candy and cards are passed out in the majority of our grade schools and Black History is tuck in various spaces and places.
I did a little research on the origin of Valentine’s Day and discovered that it’s origin is from a dark place. I urge you all to go and look for yourself about its beginning. You might want to substitute another day to do your love celebration.
February has been a special month for me. Our Father’s love has brought me through sickness, mourning, lone air travel, and more. It would take more time than I have here to tell you of how the love of God kept me.
The Scriptures I chose for this letter is about the love of God towards us. I discovered that the word ”love” is in the King James’ version approximately 442 times. John 3:16 takes center stage. I read somewhere that it is the golden text of The Bible. I am always amazed that of the gospels; John’s was most focused on the love of Jesus.
Please, precious ones, take the time to sit down and read the Scripture here, paying special attention to the input of Holy Spirit as you read. There is no greater love than God’s. I promise you will be filled with the joy of the Lord.
Blessing to Every one of you Always,
Bobbie Dicking, Handmaiden of the Lord
